We are now the proud owners of...

I have tried for some time to get a free piano off of freecycle. At last my wish came true! We were blessed with this piano not only from a fellow freecycler, but it happened to be our Sunday School teachers!!! The one leg is broken and the other wobbly so Zach had to make it a bit safer. Now we need to have a good tune- up and we should be good to go! I'm so excited!!!

Cool...Do you play or will you get lessons for the kids?

I have my Great Grandma's old pump organ...do you remember seeing it in my gram's front hall?

Ang, if that comment was from you tell Nick thank you SOOO much for helping us out!!!

Bec, I self-taught myself to play some songs as a kid on a keyboard. Band class helped with music reading and I took a piano class in college. I since forgot how to play bass clef though. My girl has had lessons off and on- she was in her first recital when she was 3! I was out there pounding away a bit ago and Zach thought I was pretty good. At least he could recognize the songs I was playing;) I think I put him to sleep! I do remember the organ! That's awesome that you have it!

Congratulations!! We could have gotten one for free but of course DH didn't want one. Oh well, in due time.

Oh~you're more than welcome he said. He said it was a nice piano so I am glad you posted a pic.

I'll see ya on Friday for the PC show, I'll bring Claire if that's ok.

I think I'm going to follow your lead and look for a free piano around here. I just heard of a reasonably priced piano teacher and I'd prefer my kids to practice at home on a real piano. Did your daughter practice on a keyboard before you found this piano? How did that go? We have an old but working full-size keyboard from my mil.

Great job on a great find!

That is sooo awesome! I can't believe you got a piano for FREE, and it's a beautiful one too. I took beginner piano in college and the book we used was really good (it was designed for adults who were just learning). If I can remember the name, I will let you know.
