Pregnancy Bliss

Or not. I can't sleep. It is like I lie down at night and I'm tired yet my mind never shuts down. It goes over what I watched on TV or read or something. All these meaningless images just flying through my mind when I should be sleeping. I've never had this with a pregnancy before. I suppose I could drink some tea before bed but I'd probably just throw it up. Zach is home today and I tried to nap but it didn't work. I could hear some neighbors music, revving cars, pounding and the TV downstairs. It is so annoying. Now when I'm here alone with my munchkins I can put the TV on and lay down and nap no problem.

Yesterday was my worst day so far. I must have thrown up about 4 times, and that is with hardly any food in me. Miserable. Today is better. I forced myself to get up as we had a Valentine party with our homeschool group and I didn't want us to miss out on it. So I just kept munching on things there and stayed seated as much as possible. At least I haven't puked yet today!

I had the weirdest dream last night. So I must sleep at some point. I think usually after like 3 or 4 am I sleep the best. Anyway, I was in college and in my old dorm room. Rebecca was my roommate. I must have been married because I was pregnant. I went to the bathroom and I had two udders like a cow, only they looked like long nip*les hanging down. I FREAKED out! Then I started bleeding. So Rebecca and I began walking to the hospital and I was trying to call Zach. I hadn't heard from him in a few days and wasn't sure where he was or lived, although he was going to the same college. I got a hold of him and he said he'd meet us at the hospital. Then I must have woke up. Weird. Freaky. I blame it on the hormones! I'm so thankful for another baby growing in me but it is so hard to deal with when I feel so miserable, even though I know its a good thing!

Oh and thanks for all the love from the 28 comments you left me!!! That was awesome!

I didn't have pregnancy dreams often (I had odd dreams my whole life) however I had a really weird one the week before Matthew was born. I had a dream that I started to go into labor but Chad was at his parents' house with Daniel and the dog. I was with someone else who was driving me to the hospital. However I could not get Chad to understand that I was going into labor. I kept telling him to meet me at the hospital and he couldn't understand why I needed to go there....it was really frustrating.

I always had insomnia, but usually at the end of my pregnancies. And I had at least one dream with each pregnancy that I was bleeding.

My mom always told me to try eating a saltine cracker in bed before I sat up in the morning....she says it works. I tried it and it never worked when I was pregnant with Claire--but it's always worth a try.

Hope you feel better!

Yuck, both my mom and stepmom mentioned Saltines to me. I can't even think about them and I get nauseous!

I must be having sympathy insomnia for you because I couldn't sleep last night! I went to bed at about 11:30 and woke up at 3am like I had slept all night and more! I just couldn't sleep so finally, after reading for 2 hours, I went back to sleep around 6 and was up for the morning at 7. The funny thing is that I don't really feel that tired...I say that now at 4:30pm...but I'm sure that I will be ready for bed about the time I put the kids down! LOL

Hope things get better and tonight when I can't sleep I will be praying for you instead of reading my book! :)

Congratulations Jamie!!! Hope you start to feel better soon. I know how you feel though, with Gabe I was soooo sick for four months. And it's especially hard when you have other little ones to care for:)

That was a funny dream. I remember having those types of dreams and having trouble sleeping with pregnancy too. I had terrible morning sickness all five times so I feel for ya!

I had REALLY weird dreams when I was pregnant, too.

I am sorry about your BOP being denied (from an earlier post) I was really hoping you'd end up at Fairchild!

take a few days and eat as much protein as you can. aim for at least 100 grams. and then see how well you sleep! I finally figured this out during my 3rd pregnancy. it works and makes me feel less sick, too!
