It's the middle of summer

And I'm thinking of school! I'm trying to figure out what to do this coming year. I thought about trying My Father's World but I don't think I will. I loved using Mystery of History vol. 1 for the past two years so I am just going to move on to vol. 2. Part of me is afraid to 'switch' history programs because I don't want to learn the things we've already learned! Then I was thinking of science and wondering what I would do about that. I think I'm going to try Answers in Genesis God's Design series. This looks awesome! Not only that but I can use it with all of my children at one time and it covers a variety of topics. I do like Apologia but my children (I think) would get burnt out on learning about only 1 thing over the year. Now I'm trying to find something more for Bible than just reading the Bible. Any ideas? I've got our Language Arts/Math covered.

I really like the Mystery of History, too. I would like to get the audio cds, but they cost $50. It would be nice to just pop the cd in and let the children hear their history lesson for the day, wouldn't it? Have you been doing a timeline? I made a simple one on a long roll of paper. I didn't utilize it for e/ figure that we studied, though. I should have kept up with it better. Some tremendous and relatively affordable resources for making timelines can be found here: http://www.holdthatthought.com/timelines.php?PHPSESSID=9cd1976139d6426efa9437529390d3e9
I will be sending you a separate e-mail about Bible. I hope you have a great day!

We're sticking with A Beka History. Somebody had given me 1st and 2nd grade, so I just stuck with that. I use a lot of supplemental books though.

I didn't buy a science curriculum. We have a great one that somebody gave us called "Considering God's Creation", however we might wait another year to use it. I have been using a series from our library called "Rookie" which breaks down science and geography so kids can understand it.

Oh yeah, for Bible, I ordered something from Christian Liberty Press, but I don't remember what it was called.
