If you want to spend more time on the phone, keep talking to people higher up in the company until you get some sort of refund. We had a similar situation with our satelite and it took an internet search to find an American phone number, but once we did, we got a month free and also she took off the charge that they didn't tell us they were going to charge us for calling a service guy out twice in a month even though he didn't show up the first time!!
