WOW

That's all I can say. I'll admit that I shed tears last night. For the sheer fact that people could vote for such ungodliness in this country. I keep repeating, "Lord, have mercy on us". At the same time I pray for his judgment and I pray for the rapture. Read Penny's 21 questions. Very good and I've thought of some of them a lot recently. Michigan voted in favor of Medical Marijuana and in favor of Embryonic Stem Cell Research. Such a sad state of affairs we're in, wouldn't you say?

This is what the Lord showed me Monday night: (I know its long but well worth the time).

Ezekiel 21:7 And when they ask you, 'Why are you groaning?' you shall say, 'Because of the news that is coming. Every heart will melt and every hand go limp; every spirit will become faint and every knee become as weak as water.' It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign LORD."

Ezekiel 24:9, 13, 14 " 'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: " 'Woe to the city of bloodshed! " 'Now your impurity is lewdness. Because I tried to cleanse you but you would not be cleansed from your impurity, you will not be clean again until my wrath against you has subsided. " 'I the LORD have spoken. The time has come for me to act. I will not hold back; I will not have pity, nor will I relent. You will be judged according to your conduct and your actions, declares the Sovereign LORD.' "

Ezekiel 7
The End Has Come
1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says to the land of Israel: The end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land. 3 The end is now upon you and I will unleash my anger against you. I will judge you according to your conduct and repay you for all your detestable practices. 4 I will not look on you with pity or spare you; I will surely repay you for your conduct and the detestable practices among you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
5 "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Disaster! An unheard-of [
a] disaster is coming. 6 The end has come! The end has come! It has roused itself against you. It has come! 7 Doom has come upon you—you who dwell in the land. The time has come, the day is near; there is panic, not joy, upon the mountains. 8 I am about to pour out my wrath on you and spend my anger against you; I will judge you according to your conduct and repay you for all your detestable practices. 9 I will not look on you with pity or spare you; I will repay you in accordance with your conduct and the detestable practices among you. Then you will know that it is I the LORD who strikes the blow.
10 "The day is here! It has come! Doom has burst forth, the rod has budded, arrogance has blossomed! 11 Violence has grown into [
b] a rod to punish wickedness; none of the people will be left, none of that crowd—no wealth, nothing of value. 12 The time has come, the day has arrived. Let not the buyer rejoice nor the seller grieve, for wrath is upon the whole crowd. 13 The seller will not recover the land he has sold as long as both of them live, for the vision concerning the whole crowd will not be reversed. Because of their sins, not one of them will preserve his life. 14 Though they blow the trumpet and get everything ready, no one will go into battle, for my wrath is upon the whole crowd.
15 "Outside is the sword, inside are plague and famine; those in the country will die by the sword, and those in the city will be devoured by famine and plague. 16 All who survive and escape will be in the mountains, moaning like doves of the valleys, each because of his sins. 17 Every hand will go limp, and every knee will become as weak as water. 18 They will put on sackcloth and be clothed with terror. Their faces will be covered with shame and their heads will be shaved. 19 They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be an unclean thing. Their silver and gold will not be able to save them in the day of the LORD's wrath. They will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it, for it has made them stumble into sin. 20 They were proud of their beautiful jewelry and used it to make their detestable idols and vile images. Therefore I will turn these into an unclean thing for them. 21 I will hand it all over as plunder to foreigners and as loot to the wicked of the earth, and they will defile it. 22 I will turn my face away from them, and they will desecrate my treasured place; robbers will enter it and desecrate it.
23 "Prepare chains, because the land is full of bloodshed and the city is full of violence. 24 I will bring the most wicked of the nations to take possession of their houses; I will put an end to the pride of the mighty, and their sanctuaries will be desecrated. 25 When terror comes, they will seek peace, but there will be none. 26 Calamity upon calamity will come, and rumor upon rumor. They will try to get a vision from the prophet; the teaching of the law by the priest will be lost, as will the counsel of the elders. 27 The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed with despair, and the hands of the people of the land will tremble. I will deal with them according to their conduct, and by their own standards I will judge them. Then they will know that I am the LORD."
Daniel 9: 4-19
Daniel's Prayer
4 I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: "O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands, 5 we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. 6 We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 "Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame—the men of Judah and people of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you. 8 O LORD, we and our kings, our princes and our fathers are covered with shame because we have sinned against you. 9 The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him; 10 we have not obeyed the LORD our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets. 11 All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you. "Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you. 12 You have fulfilled the words spoken against us and against our rulers by bringing upon us great disaster. Under the whole heaven nothing has ever been done like what has been done to Jerusalem. 13 Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us, yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our sins and giving attention to your truth. 14 The LORD did not hesitate to bring the disaster upon us, for the LORD our God is righteous in everything he does; yet we have not obeyed him.
15 "Now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of Egypt with a mighty hand and who made for yourself a name that endures to this day, we have sinned, we have done wrong. 16 O Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and your wrath from Jerusalem, your city, your holy hill. Our sins and the iniquities of our fathers have made Jerusalem and your people an object of scorn to all those around us.
17 "Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary. 18 Give ear, O God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. 19 O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name."
Joel 2: 12-18, 21
Rend Your Heart 12 "Even now," declares the LORD, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning."
13 Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.
14 Who knows? He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing— grain offerings and drink offerings for the LORD your God.
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly.
16 Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber.
17 Let the priests, who minister before the LORD, weep between the temple porch and the altar. Let them say, "Spare your people, O LORD. Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, 'Where is their God?' "
The LORD's Answer 18 Then the LORD will be jealous for his land and take pity on his people.
21 Be not afraid, O land; be glad and rejoice. Surely the LORD has done great things.

I'm not an Obama supporter, nor was a McCain supporter either, but why do you think Obama is such an ungodly man? This is a serious question, not sarcastic or anything. lol

I wasn't only referring to Obama, but to the majority of the decisions made last night- very ungodly. I think he is ungodly because of many, many reasons. He supports the killing of babies, he supports the marriage of gays (the Bible is very clear on this), he supports terrorists, he believes in more than one 'god'...not THE TRUE GOD...these are just some...

I have really stayed away from sharing my opinions on the election, as I have different views than most military families.

But I do have to comment on two points you made. Medical Marijuana use is not for dope heads to get a high and not to promote drug use. It is a very vaild and helpful therapy that many, many cancer, diabetics and terminally ill people use. A very good friend of mine in high school, her Dad had Type 1 Diabetes so servely that any prescribed pain medicine did not help ease his pain. I remember being there to help clean up after he would get so sick that he would throw up black bile (stomach lining) and be so weak. I did know that he kept Marijuana in the house and respected that he used it to help ease the pain in his last years of life. Never did he show us kids, never did he prompt us to try pot....he was a dying man and it helped him.

And the Stem Cell research. Neurofibromatosis (NF-1) that my brother has had since birth is a genetic disorder. Nothing will ever "cure" him. With stem cell research, they are finding ways to genetically tests for NF and hope to find a way to "cure" it in the fetus before birth. I am all in favor of that! To see what my brother and family goes through on a daily basis is hard. To see the amount of MRI's, CT scans, surgeries, mediciation....if there would be a way to stop or prevent any further hardship on Brent by these methods I am all for. Medicine has always been a give & take, always had risk and life & death to find those cures. If we can be responsible and help those in need, isn't that what God would want too?

Not trying to start things...I just have some examples of how things can be used for good too.

You cannot serve God and man. Many people say "Lord Lord" and they will not enter into the gates of Heaven. Claiming to be a "Christian" does not make you a godly person.

Technically we are all ungodly, because we are wicked and sinful. However, it is sad to have this country run by men who have no reverence for God, life, or moral standards.

I do not want to be led by a man who believes that babies are a punishment. If he has no regard for the tiniest life, how will he have regard for mine?

That said, Romans 13 tells us that all authority comes down from God, and that we are to show respect and honor towards our government. I trust that God will provide as he always has, and always will.

We just have to pray for President Obama, that God will soften his heart and that he may find wisdom to lead our great country.

Amie...stem cell research is different than embryonic stem cell research. I dont see how any Christian could support embryonic stem cell research.

If you believe in the Bible, and you believe that life begins at conception, then you cannot view embryonic stem cell research as "right" or "good". How is it good to create or use already created embryos for experiments, and then discard them? If we think it is ok to do that, then how can we say abortion is wrong too? It's the same thing...

Like I said, my views are different and I would ask for the same respect that I give to others answers to mine.

Until we walk in each others shoes, we will have different opinions and approaches to life.

Choppzs said...

Ok, first off, I have to say I completely agree with you on the Medical Marijuana law. But I can't say anything really about stem cell research. I will admit that I don't know a lick about it, or what it entails.

I want to ask too, Jamie, what do you mean by he supports terrorists and he believes in multiple gods?

This is a prime example of why I hate getting into political discussions...I hate when people give their honest opinions of situations and you end up getting a feeling like you are being looked down upon for those opinions. We are told not to judge. That is God's job. So why don't we all let him do his job?

Choppzs said...

I meant I agree with Angie on the medical marijuana thing! lol

I want to clarify that I do not disrespect anyone. Respect doesnt mean keeping your opinion to yourself, and I am open to hearing what anyone has to say. I am just stating my opinion derived from a Biblical perspective.

I hate when people take "do not judge" out of context. It says way more than "do not judge."

Matt 7:2-5 "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged [if we judge with an evil heart or dark intent, His judgment of us will reflect it; if we judge nobly and honestly, His judgment of us will reflect that, too], and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you [if we use extremes or exaggerations or other unfair means, our judgment will reflect it]. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye [point out his sins, "minor" in Jesus' example here] and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye [our own sins, even and especially those we will not admit, magnified by our selective blindness]? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' [tell him of his "minor" sins] when all the time there is a plank in your own eye [that there are greater or the same sins in our own lives which we do nothing about or think we are above]? You hypocrite* [pointing out the sins of others while by pretense we think of ourselves as above sin], first take the plank out of your own eye [sincerely ask the Lord for forgiveness and learn and live the Truth and Light by His Word], and then you will see clearly [be in a righteous position] to remove the speck from your brother's eye [to judge and to help him out of his bondage to sin]."

I am definately not without sin, but I dont think we should all hole up in our own homes and say "Oh dont judge" while people are living and promoting sinful beliefs.

If you dont believe in God or the Bible, I guess that it would not apply to you...and most people who dont believe in God just ignore those of us who do, which is fine. I just dont think it is right to say you love God and then live another standard.

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

I'm not one to get into political arguments, either, because people get very worked up, things are said and nothing gets accomplished.

Everyone has their own opinion. That's why it's called an opinion.

Honestly, everyone's talking in circles to me. Just leave it be. You have your own beliefs, I have my own beliefs, so-and-so has their own beliefs. Can't people just accept that and go about their own lives? Just because the rapist down the street has his own set of beliefs, their still his beliefs, whether or not I think their wrong. God will deal with him when he's ready, not me, you or Joe Blow.

Enough said. That's my piece. Let's move on already. Life's too short.

Choppzs said...

1. How am I taking "do not judge" out of context? There's no other way to state it! Do not judge, lest ye be judged!

2. It is not my job to go up to everyone that is "sinful" and push my beliefs in their face. That does not make me any less a Christian. I don't feel that God has put me here to take everyone's actions that I don't agree with or that I feel are wrong and tell them they are bad or wrong or going to hell! I believe God will judge these people when they meet him! I don't have to believe what they are doing is right, but just because I don't out and out tell them doesn't make me any less a Christian and doesn't lessen my love for God.

3.And FYI we are all sinners. Whether it be lying, stealing, murder whatever. 1 sin, in my opinion is no less then the other. They are all against God. But you don't see people picketing and making a big fuss against lying, like you do about these other issues. People simply chose the issues they want to bitch about and claim they are doing in the name of God so they can make themselves feel better.

1)Go back and read the ENTIRE Bible verse again - or get out your own Bible and read it there if you dont trust my typing. At the end of the verse, it implies that we should help eachother overcome our sins.

2)I dont go up to anyone and tell them they are sinful and going to Hell for it. I also dont think anyone is "more" or "less" a Christian. Salvation is not based on our ability to be good or not sin. It is based on simply accepting the mercy given to us by Jesus. However, we are told as Christians to "go and preach." To me, that implies that we ARE to speak out against sin, as well as the amazing grace that can save us from said sin.

Are you saying that we should never speak ill against anything anyone does that is wrong? Should we not speak out against men who abuse their wives, because that is between them and God? We should be uplifting eachother and helping one another to be better than we are. Not hiding in our homes afraid to say anything contrary, lest we offend someone.

3)I am well aware I am a sinner. I dont think you actually are reading what I wrote - I readily admitted that. And I agree that sin is sin...does that excuse it though? Should we just allow anything to fly because...well..we're all sinners and there's nothing we can do about it? I guess it's ok to show my baby pornography, because oh well - we all sin. It's no worse than any other sin, right? It's ok for the rapist neighbor to be a rapist because those are his beliefs and he'll have to answer to God right?

What a sad state of affairs. Especially that we put more stock in "opinions" than the word of God.

FTR - I believe in showing love to others. You wont find me picketing against anything. I think you are mistaking me stating things I have learned on a personal private blog with someone who stands on a street corner and shouts judgements. Id much rather be holding the hand of someone dying from AIDS and praying for them, or comforting a young girl who just went through an abortion - both things that I have personally done.

Please do not confuse standing up for what God has told us to do with being unkind or hateful. I am neither of those things.

I voted for the medical marijuana. Heck, I would vote to legalize marijuana in general. Well, at least to de-criminalize it.

Boy, you had a little controversy going on here. :-)
Wow. Those judgement verses are scary. I fear for America. We have shed way to much innocent babies blood. And we don't care if it keeps happening. Very sad and sickening.
