Two years have gone by in a buzz and a whir,
So much has happened its almost a blur.
No matter that all this time has gone by
I haven't forgotten you, my precious Malachi.
What would it be like to have you,our boy
Running around bringing such joy?
What fun, what delight, what smiles you'd bring
As we'd watch you grow, learn to expand your 'wings'!
It is with a heavy heart that I think of this day,
Wishing upon wishes that God allowed you to stay.
But also I look at it with great thankfulness
That God has honored me to be your mother, even in shortness.
